Completed in May 2024, this stunning new construction home’s floor plan features four spacious bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and two powder bathrooms. The open-concept great room features a seamless flow between the living, dining, and kitchen areas—perfect for both everyday living and entertaining.

The primary suite is a true retreat, complete with a rainfall shower, a soaking tub for ultimate relaxation, and finishes that exude tranquility and style. One of the home’s standout features is the dedicated wine room and wet bar, ideal for wine enthusiasts and those who love to entertain.

The design process was a testament to Sutherlands’ collaborative approach, with Julie Ann working closely alongside Steve, the owner of Haven Builders, to ensure the design details of the home reflected the builder’s vision. The result is a home that is not only beautiful but also functional, with each design element carefully chosen for form as well as function.

The project featured a selection of high-quality products from renowned vendors, including Shaw, Arizona Tile, Florida Tile, Stoneworks Of Colorado, Crossville Studios, Glenrock Distributing, Bedrosians, and Schluter. These materials were chosen not only for their durability and functionality but also for their ability to elevate the home’s design.

Julie Ann’s favorite design element? The wine room walls, adorned with strips of 1×24 tile featuring a linear texture. “I instantly fell in love with this look and was so happy when Steve did too,” she says. Another favorite is the laundry room, where a gray 12×24 backsplash perfectly complements the gray countertop, creating a seamless and visually stunning flow.

The overall aesthetic of the home is best described as upscale, yet livable elegance. Clean lines are beautifully balanced with splashes of aqua hues and greige neutrals. Geometric patterns contrast with modern straight-set tile, resulting in a harmonious and calming atmosphere throughout the home.

For those embarking on a new construction design journey, Julie Ann offers valuable insight: “When selecting interior finishes for spec homes, it’s crucial to strike a balance. You want a look that’s distinctive and memorable but also approachable enough to appeal to a wide range of potential buyers.” This approach is evident in this build, where every detail has been carefully curated to make a lasting impression. The Sanctuary Drive home is a testament to the power of thoughtful design and collaboration. It’s a space where modern design meets timeless elegance, offering a welcoming and sophisticated retreat for its future homeowners.
